Transage - Teachers

Last year a partnership was formed between residents of Parkfield House and our students, led by Sagar Patel and Ian Morrow, working together on inter-generational projects. One of the projects was training older people on how to be computer and IT wise. The computer classes were very successful and helped to bring both old and young together.

Each person was allocated a work station with a student to offer one to one training. The older people really enjoyed the classes. They commented that "the students were not only warm and friendly but also patient and encouraging. It helped build our confidence as older students and encouraged us to continue learning new technology."

A new series of sessions started on 2nd October and this time Hatch End has cast the net wider into the communities across boroughs to residents living in Brent. The offer has been quickly snapped up. There are still a few places available.

If you know of an elderly person who would like to join us we would be delighted to welcome them at Hatch End High on a Thursday, 3.30-4.30pm. Please contact Mrs Kaminski, in Room 84, or at kaminski@hatchend.harrow.sch.uk, to register.
