schools across London to bring a message of hope to young people, which encourages them to make a difference in the world they live in. The speaking team on the day will consist of top leaders in business, sport, politics, community service, media and the arts. The day will also include live music, short films, as well as question and answer sessions between students and speakers.
The Emerging Leaders Day is designed to be both inspirational and practical. Each of the speakers will each be given a 20-minute slot, designed to inspire the young people to reach their full potential and share the highs and lows of personal journey’s to becoming the success they are today.
“Passing on experience” - There is a strong sense on the day that the 'baton is being passed on', as the current generation of leaders impart their wisdom into the emerging generation of young leaders who will shape the future of our society in years to come.
Objectives
- Promote the value of inspirational and positive role models as examples to others, by exposing students to a diverse range of leaders and their views on leadership
- Educate students about the need to grow in knowledge and practical skills that carry life application
- Inform students of ways to make a positive difference in the world they live in
- Empower students with practical skills of balancing study, school commitments and personal life
- Teach students to work hard to achieve their dreams
- Motivate students to be great leaders
